Project 1: Bathroom Before & After

At Style Bathrooms & Kitchens Lincoln, every project starts with a vision — transforming outdated, impractical spaces into modern bathrooms that combine comfort, functionality, and style.

This project showcases a complete bathroom renovation, taking a tired and dated room and turning it into a sleek, contemporary space designed for everyday living.

Project Overview

This project involved a full kitchen renovation in the Brant Road area of Lincoln, transforming a closed-off and dated layout into a bright, open-plan kitchen diner designed for modern family living.

By reconfiguring the space and carefully selecting materials, we created a balance between traditional charm and contemporary style.

The Brief

The client wanted to open up the existing kitchen and dining room to create a more spacious and sociable environment while maintaining a warm, traditional feel.

Key objectives included:

  • Creating an open-plan kitchen diner

  • Improving natural light

  • Updating the overall look while keeping classic design elements

  • Maximising space and flow throughout the ground floor

Before

Originally, the layout consisted of:

  • A separate kitchen and dining room

  • A dividing wall restricting space and light

  • A brick-built pantry creating a narrow kitchen entrance

  • A dated and enclosed overall feel

The space felt disconnected and lacked the openness needed for modern living.

The Transformation

We carried out a full structural and interior renovation to completely rework the layout.

Works included:

  • Removal of the dividing wall between the kitchen and dining room

  • Installation of a new bow window to increase natural light

  • Removal of the brick pantry and opposing wall to widen the kitchen entrance

  • Floor screeding to create a level, high-quality base

  • Full plastering of walls and ceilings for a clean finish

Design And Finish

To achieve a modern yet traditional kitchen diner, we used a balanced selection of materials and finishes:

  • Sage green shaker-style kitchen units

  • Oak block worktops and upstands

  • Oak luxury vinyl flooring

  • Built-in appliances for a clean, streamlined look

After

The completed kitchen-diner is the following:

  • Open, bright, and welcoming

  • Seamlessly connected for modern living

  • A blend of traditional style and modern functionality

  • Designed with durable, high-quality finishes

Project 2: Kitchen Renovation – Brant Road, Lincoln

Project Overview

This project involved a bespoke bathroom renovation designed to maximise space while delivering a luxurious and highly functional layout. By incorporating part of the adjoining bedroom, we created a larger, more practical space that includes both a walk-in shower and a freestanding bath.

The Brief

The client wanted a bathroom that balanced practicality with a refined finish. The main priorities were:

  • A dedicated walk-in shower area

  • Retaining a full-sized bath

The challenge was to achieve both without compromising space or comfort.

Before

The original bathroom had several limitations:

  • Restricted floor space

  • No separate showering area

  • A layout that did not fully utilise available adjoining space

The Transformation

We carried out structural changes and a full redesign to improve layout and usability:

  • Opened into the adjoining bedroom

  • Used space from fitted wardrobes

  • Built a new stud wall to redefine the layout

  • Created a more open and functional bathroom design

Design And Features

  • The updated bathroom includes a range of practical and modern features:

  • Raised tiled wet room area for the walk-in shower

  • LED lighting within the shower niche and step

  • Half-height tiling to conceal wall-hung toilet fittings

  • Deep shelf feature integrated into the design

  • Freestanding bath with matching bath filler

  • Feature wall with acoustic panels and integrated lighting

  • Backlit round mirror for improved lighting

  • Brushed brass fittings for a consistent finish

After

The completed bathroom is

  • Spacious and well-planned

  • A balance of function and refined design

  • Visually detailed with layered lighting

  • Finished with durable materials and careful attention to detail
